Britney Spears wants fans to know that her family dynamic is still “Toxic” — even after her big conservatorship win last week.
The pop superstar, 39, took to Instagram Tuesday to share a message aimed at relatives and friends who were complicit in the continuation of the legal arrangement established by her estranged father, Jamie Spears, more than 13 years ago.
“This picture is everything to me !!! It makes me want to cry … she’s saving her divine feminine sister 🧜🏻♀️ !!!!” Britney captioned an ethereal painting.
The Grammy winner then recapped the grueling conditions of her conservatorship, which she previously detailed in explosive court testimony in June.
“I suggest if you have a friend that’s been in a house that feels really small for four months … no car … no phone … no door for privacy and they have to work around 10 hours a day 7 days a week and give tons of blood weekly with never a day off … I strongly suggest you go pick up your friend and get them the hell outta there!!!!!” she wrote.
Britney also took aim at her family for their inaction over the years.
“If you’re like my family who says things like ‘sorry, you’re in a conservatorship’ … probably thinking you’re different [from you] so they can f–k with you !!!!” she added.
The “Lucky” singer concluded her post by expressing appreciation for her attorney Mathew S. Rosengart, “who has helped change my life 🌹!!!!”
After hearing arguments from Britney and Jamie’s respective lawyers, Rosengart and Vivian Thoreen, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny ruled on Wednesday that it was in the entertainer’s “best interest” to have her father suspended from her controversial conservatorship.
Britney’s victory came months after she addressed the court, alleging that, under Jamie’s domineering control, she was forced into a mental health facility, forced to take lithium and forced to have an IUD contraceptive inserted, all against her will.
She also expressed anger that her family never intervened, saying they did “not do a goddamn thing,” and told Judge Penny that she would like to sue them. Additionally, Britney said that she would like to see her dad charged with conservatorship abuse.
Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, has advocated for her daughter’s freedom in court but not until after the #FreeBritney movement launched in 2019.
Meanwhile, Britney’s older brother, Bryan Spears, called the conservatorship a “great thing” for his family in a July 2020 podcast interview. A stoic Bryan, 44, remained mum on Jamie’s suspension when paps caught him in L.A. last week.
Britney’s younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, insisted that she supported Britney in a series of emotional Instagram Story videos in late June.
“If ending the conservatorship… or whatever the hell else she wants to do to be happy, I support that,” the “Zoey 101” alum, 30, said at the time after facing backlash for staying silent on the matter.
Of course, Britney’s father — who established the conservatorship in 2008 — has resisted its dissolution for years. In August 2020, Jamie called Britney’s supporters “conspiracy theorists” in an interview with The Post.
Britney, however, believes the #FreeBritney movement played a crucial role in her hard-fought liberation.
“#FreeBritney movement … I have no words … because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!!!” she wrote via Instagram Monday. “I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it.”
Rosengart told reporters outside the courtroom last week that his next priority is to dissolve the conservatorship altogether.
Before the next court hearing on Nov. 12, though, Rosengart plans to fully investigate Jamie’s conduct — including allegations of hiring a security company to record Britney’s private conversations during his 13-year tenure as conservator.
“I said at the outset that my firm and I were going to take a top-to-bottom look at what Jamie Spears and his representatives have done here,” he said in part. “That’s already in process, and it will continue for as long as it can possibly do that to get justice for Britney.”
