Kingsman Creator Sets Up New Spy Series, Other Originals at Netflix - IGN - IGN

As Netflix continues to bulk up its library with big properties, the company has turned to Kingsman creator Mark Millar to help create splashy titles for its catalog. Millar and his wife, Lucy, sold their comic company Millarworld to Netflix in 2017, the first acquisition the streamer made. Now, Millar has offered an update on the various projects in development between the two companies.Firstly, Millar announced that a television adaptation of his comic series The Magic Order is back in development after the COVID-19 pandemic stalled production last year. The project was originally announced in March 2019, with James Wan and Lindsey Beer attached as executive producers.Additionally, Millar announced that two new volumes of The Magic Order comic series would be published soon. Volume 2 will be written by Stuart Immonen and will launch in October, with Gigi Cavenago's Volume 3 following after. The Magic Order became the first Netflix-published comic series after the company acquired Millarworld."Some time away has given us a chance to come back with a completely fresh look at the material, and we should be getting into our new writers’ room very shortly," Millar wrote. "I created it to be a live-action series, but as comic fans know, I’m also passionate about doing books."

Meanwhile, the Kingsman creator is setting a return to the spy genre with a new property that will take the form of a six-episode live-action television series. Millar is keeping details about the writer on the series under wraps, though he hints that he has been a "massive fan of [them] for two decades."

Additionally, Millar affirmed that development for Netflix's American Jesus series, its film adaptation of Reborn starring Sandra Bullock, and an anime adaptation of Super Crooks are all continuing smoothly. Super Crooks has set a premiere window for later this year.

In the meantime, Jupiter's Legacy is set to premiere on Netflix this Friday, May 7. The adaptation of Millar's comic series of the same name is the first onscreen project to be made under Millarworld and Netflix's partnership.
